🔒 Zero Cloud. 100% Local. OpticLink Pro is engineered with a local-only architecture. Your video feeds, audio transmissions, stream credentials, and recorded files remain strictly on your own hardware. We do not collect, store, or monitor your camera footage.
1. Personal Data & Account Creation
OpticLink Pro does not require you to create an external cloud account or submit personal information to use the software. All camera configuration profiles, IP addresses, network passwords, and streaming details are saved locally on your computer in secure, encrypted storage. No data is transmitted to our servers or third-party databases.
2. Use of Device Permissions
To deliver advanced multi-camera monitoring, streaming, and recording capabilities, the OpticLink Pro desktop application utilizes specific system permissions. Here is how they are safely processed:
- Network Access (LAN): Used solely to discover, connect to, and stream video/audio feeds from local IP cameras (such as Tapo, VIGI, Wyze, Reolink, and generic RTSP/ONVIF devices).
- Microphone Access: Used exclusively to enable the 2-Way Intercom (Talk-Back) functionality. Your voice is captured locally and streamed directly to compatible camera speakers over your local network. It is never recorded or transmitted outside your local area network (LAN).
- Camera Access (Webcams): Used to connect to locally plugged physical USB Webcams, capture cards, or integrated laptop cameras so you can mix physical local inputs alongside network feeds.
- Local Storage (File System): Used to write high-definition video recordings (in Fragmented MP4 format) and audio segments directly to your designated local directory.
3. Payment Processing & License Verification
When you purchase a license for OpticLink Pro, your payment is securely processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Christopher Istvan does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or financial credentials. Your payment data is provided directly to Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy.
To deliver and validate your software license, we retain a secure record of your purchase. This data is limited to:
- Your full name (matching the cardholder name provided during checkout)
- Date of purchase
- Generated license key
- Non-identifying hardware signatures (Hardware IDs) of the devices on which the software is activated
This verification data is strictly used to authenticate your license and prevent unauthorized distribution, and is never shared, sold, or used for tracking or marketing purposes.
4. Zero Third-Party Tracking & Advertising
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers inside the OpticLink Pro desktop client. Your usage patterns, stream active durations, and connected hardware inventories remain strictly private to you.
