General Local Connection Advice

1. Assign Static IP Addresses

By default, routers assign dynamic IPs using DHCP. Security cameras can change IP addresses during a reboot, breaking your streams. Access your router settings and assign a DHCP reservation using the camera's MAC address to lock in a static IP.

2. Enable Integration Settings

The standard local port for RTSP streaming is 554. However, some brands (like Tapo or Dahua) disable local streaming by default or require enabling ONVIF/RTSP within their app or advanced system dashboard first. Refer to individual brand guides above.
